For Pärnu County families

Kuuda is about 65 km from Pärnu — under an hour by car. The care cost is paid by your relative's home municipality.

Why Kuuda suits Pärnu County families

Closer than you think

About 65 km from Pärnu along the Tallinn–Pärnu road. Even closer from villages in Lääneranna and Põhja-Pärnumaa.

Quiet and nature

A large park and forest all around — a country home, not a hospital corridor.

Clear prices

Packages and prices are public — you can see in advance what the family pays.

Rooms for different needs

Single, double and multi-bed rooms, a lift and separate packages for residents with dementia and bedridden residents.

How it works

  1. Contact your parish or cityThe application for a care home place goes to the municipality of your relative's registered residence.
  2. Needs assessmentA social worker assesses whether 24-hour general care is the most suitable support.
  3. Say you want KuudaWrite it in the application or tell the social worker you would like Kuuda Care Home. Before moving, agree that the municipality will pay the care cost at Kuuda too.
  4. The municipality pays the care costThe municipality pays the care cost up to its own limit; the rest (accommodation, meals etc.) is paid by the resident or family.

Limits differ by municipality

Each municipality sets its own care-cost limit. In 2026, for example, Pärnu city pays €660 and Lääneranna parish €500 per month. We are happy to tell you the exact amount and the family's share by phone.

If the pension is not enough

If paying is difficult, you can apply to the municipality for a care allowance or a payment ability assessment. The amount depends on income.
